XAUt vs XAUt0: What’s the Difference? (And Why It Matters)
Since launching in 2020, Tether Gold (XAUt) has become the world’s leading tokenized gold asset, trusted by traders, savers, and DeFi enthusiasts alike. As a fully backed token, XAUt lets anyone hold a digital claim on LBMA–accredited bullion, locked in Swiss vaults and physically redeemable. USDT0 is now live on X Layer, the Layer 2 network developed by OKX. With this integration, users can now seamlessly transfer USDT0 between X Layer, Arbitrum, Optimism, Unichain, Berachain, Polygon and the other USDT0 enabled networks.
This marks another step forward in expanding USDT0’s omnichain footprint and bringing native, composable USDT liquidity to even more users and builders across the most active networks in onchain finance.
As one of the largest exchanges in the world, OKX serves millions of users and continues to push the frontier of intuitive, multi-chain experiences.
X Layer, is built on the Polygon CDK and fully integrated with the OKX Wallet and ecosystem. X Layer is purpose-built for low-cost, high-speed transactions, and connects users and developers to Ethereum’s broader ecosystem while offering a streamlined, secure experience directly within the OKX platform.
With this integration, users can now deposit and withdraw USDT0 on Arbitrum, Optimism, Unichain, Polygon and Berachain via OKX’s primary exchange and wallet. On top of that X Layer is now connected natively to all other supported chains in the USDT0 network. All cross-chain transfers use LayerZero’s OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard, which eliminates wrapped assets, consolidates fragmented liquidity, and ensures each transfer is verifiable and backed 1:1 by canonical USDT.
This integration brings USDT0 to millions of users across the OKX ecosystem and beyond, unifying stablecoin liquidity across some of the most widely used chains in DeFi.
Whether you're a casual crypto trader or a protocol building omnichain apps, USDT0 delivers a faster, safer, and more composable stablecoin experience — now just a few clicks away via OKX.
